The SL R107 series, which was launched in 1971 as the successor to the so-called ‘Pagoda’ (Mercedes-Benz W 113), became world-famous thanks to the TV series ‘Hart aber herzlich’ or ‘The Gigolo’ starring Richard Gere (who drove exactly this model). The V8 in this 560 SL delivers 227 PS.
